On Sunday, September 20, Westword will host DISH, its 21st annual celebration of the Denver dining and drinking scene. More than forty favorite restaurants of Westword food writers and readers will be offering samples of delectable dishes at DISH; The Kitchen Next Door Union Station will be bringing bacon-wrapped Medjool dates and a beet-burger crostini.

The beet-burger crostini is a deconstructed version of the Kitchen Next Door's popular vegetarian sandwich. It's comprised of a brioche crostini topped with beets, balsamic onions, feta cheese and arugula. The bacon-wrapped dates are simply dropped in peanut oil until the bacon becomes crisp — and they're simply delicious. After sampling these dishes at DISH, you can enjoy their full-sized versions at the Kitchen Next Door Union Station.

DISH 2015 runs from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, in Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Tickets — which include unlimited samples of food and drink — are $50 for general admission; the $85 VIP ticket includes early admission at 11 a.m. Buy your DISH tickets here — and if you use the promo code "Denverdish," you can still get a $25 GA ticket!
