Devil's Food Bakery, the bake shop and java joint at 1020 South Gaylord Street, is welcoming Denver-based food stylist and cookbook designer Erica McNeish from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight for a down-home dinner featuring barbecue, sandwiches, grilled sweet corn, Southern-style salads (many of which are vegetarian), cobblers and other sweet treats, all matched with sangria and a variety of beers. Tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for children; call 303-733-7448 for more info.

The Denver Zoo's largest fundraiser, Do at the Zoo, celebrates two decades of lions and tigers and bears with a special twentieth anniversary party at 7 p.m. tonight. The annual shindig trumpets more than 50 of Denver's top restaurants and bars nourishing the hungry and thirsty. Tickets, which vary in price, are on sale at www.denverzoo.org.

If you'd rather drink among humans, head over to Trios Enoteca, 1730 Wynkoop Street, for a go-green, all-organic and biodynamic wine tasting organized by the downtown wine bar and Little Raven Vineyards. The tasting begins at 7 p.m. and costs $20 per person.
