Bright knives, big city. The fifth season of Bravo's Top Chef premieres tonight at 8 p.m. MST when seventeen chefs compete in Top Chef: New York. The lineup includes Melissa Harrison, sous chef at Centro Latin Kitchen & Refreshment Palace in Boulder, and Hosea Rosenberg, exec chef at Jax Fish House in Boulder -- a particularly juicy competition, since both work for the same restaurant group: Big Red, whose other restaurants include Lola, West End Tavern, Zolo and Jax in Denver. They're fighting for a $100,000 prize: seed money to help open a restaurant, as well as a showcase at the annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen and the title of "top chef."

Warm up for this face-off by turning your TV to the Food Network at 5 p.m., for a repeat of the Food Network Challenge: Italian Family Feast . The victor? Frank Bonnano, chef/owner at Mizuna, Luca D'Italia, Osteria Marco and, soon, Bones.
