Monday, June 16

Stoney's Bar and Grill is kicking off the U.S. Soccer team's run for the World Cup with a viewing party for the team's first game, against Ghana. There will be happy hour food, two-for-one drink specials, giveaways and free shots every time the U.S. scores. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. but arrive early to grab a good seat. Infinite Monkey Theorem will be the guest of honor at Lala's Wine Bar and Pizzeria for a special wine dinner this evening. The four-course meal will feature pairings from Infinite Monkey Theorem and winemaker Ben Parsons; tickets are $45. The evening starts with a cocktail reception at 4:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Call 303-861-9463 to make reservations.

Jax Glendale location is also hosting a wine dinner tonight. Helen Keplinger, Food & Wine's 2012 Winemaker of the Year and a Wine Spectator "Rising Star Winemaker," will be on hand, giving guests a rare opportunity to taste some of her very limited wines (only around 250 cases are made). Another wine dinner will be held tonight at Arugula Bar e Ristorante. The five-course dinner will highlight Seghesio Family Wines of Sonoma, and will feature almost all local products. Tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. the sixth annual LoDo bites will give guests a chance to sip, sample and stroll through historic LoDo, sampling the culinary diversity of the neighborhood. Eighteen different restaurants will be serving an array of popular food and drink items. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 day of, buy them at brownpapertickets.com early. If you enjoy your brew with a view, Cherokee Ranch and Castle is hosting the event for you. From 6 to 8:30 p.m., this Grist beer tasting will offer castle tours, pizza from Anthony's, plenty of beer and gourmet popcorn from Oogies. Reservations are $30 and can be made by visiting the Cherokee Ranch and Castle website.

The Ale House at Amato's is celebrating the Fort Collins Brewery this evening with a beer dinner featuring pairings, giveaways and a raffle. The dinner costs $55 and starts at 6 p.m. Call 303-433-9734 to save your seat.

The Kitchen's newest location in Fort Collins will hold its first Community Night fund raiser and opening celebration tonight from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Tickets for the celebration are $100 and $250 for VIP. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Kitchen's philanthropic branch, The Kitchen community and their effort to create Learning Gardens in Fort Collins schools.

Tonight at 6 p.m. spend an evening at Frasca Food and Wine with Master Sommelier and star in the highly regarded documentary, "Somm", Dustin Wilson. The evening will include plenty of stories, five courses and wine pairings and is priced at $195. Space is extremely limited for the evening so call 303-442-6966 to make your reservations now.

Friday, June 20

Today, in honor of National Flip Flop Day, when you wear flip flops into any Tropical Smoothie Café you will receive a free 24-ounce Jetty Punch smoothie. Customers can also choose to donate $1 for a paper flip flop or $5 to get a National Flip Flop Day key fob, with both donations going toward Camp Sunshine.
