1940s White Christmas Ball at Wings Over the Rockies

Dolled-up revelers celebrated Christmas the way their parents and grandparents might have -- plus a little artistic license -- at the 1940s White Christmas Ball on December 7 at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. The event featured music from the Queen City Jazz Band, reenactments from the movie White Christmas, and live glassblowing. All photos by Philip Poston.

Was our first time going and it was underwhelming for anyone outside the dance floor.  Too bad since the event has so much potential to create a true Holiday Ball experience for all.  The advertised Christmas Village did not even exist.   Oh well.
