Owning a chicken has become ideal for everything from lawn fertilization to pest control to fresh eggs. Seller Amy Wells adds, "People figure out how to raise their own food. They get work ethic."
"I wanted to create a community marketplace where people could easily buy and sell chickens, but also where people could get information by talking to vendors and farmers," says Denver Urban Homesteading founder James Bertini.
