The Denver Cruisers -- the bicycle club open to anyone -- stuck a thumb in the eye of Dan Maes last night with its United Nations themed bike ride through the city. Maes, the Republican candidate for governor, made comments earlier this summer that Denver's participation in the B-Cycle rent-a-bike program was "converting Denver into a United Nations community" and "this is bigger than it looks like on the surface, and it could threaten our personal freedoms."
