Friday at the Denver County Fair

Members of the Itchy-O Marching Band performed cosmic tunes while disguised in masks. All members of the band refused to be photographed unmasked.
Scenes from the Denver County Fair on Friday, July 29, 2011, the first year for the fair, which promises to "mix up a big batch of tradition with a side of now." That roughly translates to drag queens and organic food under the same roof as indie-rock cellists and chickens. Kate Levy brings back these photos. The fair runs through Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the National Westword Complex.
