Seed & Smith starts growing its plants from seed.

Colorado's cannabis industry is heavily regulated, with every cultivation and infusion process tracked by serial numbers and bar codes from start to finish, referred as "seed to sale" by the industry. To make all of that tracking and processing easier, many dispensaries will perform commercial operations – breeding, growing, extracting and manufacturing infused products – internally. Seed & Smith, a dispensary with the ability to do all four, recently held a brewery-like tour to show off all the work it takes to stock the gift shop. All photos by Jacqueline Collins.
