How Four Different Chubby's Restaurants Stack Up

El Chubby's, 9865 East Hampden in Aurora, has a sign posted inside disavowing any relationship to the original Chubby's or another El Chubby's at 1191 South Abilene, which was opened by one of Stella's ten children before being sold.
The original Chubby's at 38th Avenue and Lipan is owned by Stella Cordova, the 98-year-old matriarch of the Cordova clan. If you could only have one meal at Chubby's, Stella Cordova recommends the green-chile smothered Mexican hamburger and chile cheese fries, so Westword visited four unrelated Denver-area Chubby's to compare them.
