Not a troll and nice plagiarizing from the westword article on mm. The show was sophomoric and the fact that mm worked at Walmart actually makes sense to me. It seemed like a walmart production. Maybe mm had a lil too much influence from the walmart effect because his show was like an extremely disorganized super walmart. I have seen better shows in the middle of nowhere at vail raves...I feel pretty badly for you guys since this show will most likely tip the scales against him and hopefully he left wmart on good terms so he can greet all his old fans.

I am so happy everyone I invited to go to this show cancelled! First of all Mr. Menert you are talented but you are not God. The Eye of Providence as your stage and you are the "God"  or the eye ..the all seeing eye watching over mankind.  Nice try but a freemason you are not. Nothing like cranking up the hardcore rap and totally agitating real pretty lights fans. What a mismatch..what a mistake to follow you down this path. I wonder if the inspiration for your production was actually a forced anal probing? Absolutely terrible. I have seen pretty lights, bass nectar, break science, the list goes on and on and on... and I have to tell you that for as talented as you are suppossed to be I can see why you have never really made it as big as your peers. You are completely out of touch with what your dwindling fan base really wants to hear. WE ENJOY IT WHEN YOU SAMPLE and do not talk or yell or rap or sing... we especially do not like it when fake gold chains are thrown into the crowd and the performer tells us to go beat down people on the street for no reason. I heard your first track and split along with ten other past fans. A little advice.. try not to be the jack of all trades and the master of none. Stick to the program and you will maybe with a lot of luck become famous like Derek Vincent Smith.

@jlaymon45 How the hell is he out of touch with his fan base? His fan base helped him put together that show. His fan base is a huge reason he got his own headlining tour this year. His fan base is why he is performing for us. Michal used to rap when he was younger, and probably got into rapping before actually producing tracks. Learn more about the artist before bashing him. I can see you definitely AREN'T a fan then. While Derek was taking off with Pretty Lights who michal HELPED CREATE Michal got sentenced to 3 years of house arrest and was stabbed in the chest. He didn't have time to tour and didn't have NEAR as much money. While Derek was touring and making money and meeting fans Michal was stuck at a Wal-mart because he couldn't tour, he couldn't meet fans. Get the fuck over yourself.

@jlaymon45 Quite an ignorant response, not sure if this is a troll or not: I highly doubt mr. menert is trying to be a freemason. Furthermore, a huge appeal of menert that sets him apart from many other artists,  is that he is forcefully passionate about his music and gives zero fucks about pleasing people who don't respect his expression. He played a brilliant set, el-p and killer mike are legendary rappers (who I'm sure a good portion of the crowd came to see), and he had fun. Realize that these people never started making music to please  a bunch of narrow minded fanboys and started for themselves. You're wrong, menert is a master. He mastered ur mum.
