"Water is life," chanted nearly three dozen protesters as they walked from the steps of the State Capitol to Wells Fargo on Broadway on Friday, February 17. Though the crowd was much smaller than the one gathered for last week's demonstration against the bank, protest participants were still set on convincing Wells Fargo, the principal financier behind Energy Transfer Partners, the company behind the Dakota Access Pipeline, to dissociate itself from the project. Two Denver PD bicycle units made it to the bank beforehand, and sealed the doors, closing the Wells Fargo on Friday.
