Surely these two jokers "disappointed" and "davethedee" have some hidden agenda. I've seen this band 6-7 times and have NEVER been disappointed. I didn't attend Thursday's show because i was out of town but i just can't see their posts being reality.

@footius I was there and agree with "davethedee" though I didn't make it thru the entire show 'cause of the constant torrential rain.  So I can't say if the show got better after I went and hid from the storm in the museum.

The music sounded smooth and sophisticated yet overproduced and flaccid.  Kinda too smooth.  "Geriatric lounge" is an apt description.

The aging rock 'n' roller monologue was weird and self-indulgent without being entertaining.  The warm up was totally boring but I'm not a jazz fan.

The rain and lightning were the only bright spots of the evening.  Steely Dan was a complete disappointment, less than 5 songs in the majority of the crowd was streaming for the exits and not because of the rain.  Long winded, rambling monologue insted of music drew boos from numerous concert goers.  I had higher hopes.

Rain aside, this was a disappointing show.  It felt like a bad, geriatric lounge Steely Dan cover act, complete with senseless segue banter, including a depressing commentary/rant on aging as a rock-n-roller, who "can't even remember the label on his favorite bottle anymore."
