The Lyons Outdoor Games headed into its second decade this past weekend, attracting kayakers, runners, BMX'ers, mountain bikers and those who like to combine beer with music and Colorado sunshine. But the biggest draw was Saturday's Burning Can Beer Festival hosted by the Oskar Blues Brewery, which was founded in Lyons. "Saturday is going to be super-exciting, because we'll have the Burning Can 5K, so people can feel like they've earned their beer, and we'll have the Big Air finals going on as a great spectator sport while people sample the best that Oskar Blues has to offer and the best canned beers from 35 of the top craft brewers in the country," Oskar Blues spokesman Chad Melis said prior to the Games. "It's always cool to have some of the top kayakers and other athletes in the world here in our small town enjoying the awesome terrain we have, and we do love to throw a good party." Christopher Morgan brings back these photos for Westword.
