Halloween won't be on a Friday again until 2025. Don't waste eleven years waiting for the next one because there is plenty to do this time. Even if you're not into the whole ghouls and goblins celebration, there are options, including smashing pumpkins, meeting artists and practicing vinyasa. Surf the Westword calendar for more happenings and tell us about ones we missed in the comments.

Mark Mothersbaugh: Myopia at Museum of Contemporary Art Denver (Friday-Sunday, $8) It's nice to be alive and to be able to see what Mark Mothersbaugh has been up to. A true ubermensch, he's been successful in music, invention, film and now art. The exhibit runs through April, but go now so you can say you were one of the first to see it.

See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Drink No Evil at The Infinite Monkey Theorem (Friday, free) Sure, there's tons of places to party on this ghoulish night, but this particular party will have live tattooing. DJ's EJAY and IVY will be spinning everything spooky, funky and groovy. The wine in a can will be flowing next to a visual showing, presented by The Watcher. Get some ink, sip some drink and then get ready to dance

Lucinda Williams at Twist & Shout (Friday, free) A nice intimate session with legendary folk/country/rock singer and songwriter Lucinda Williams. Get there early, these things fill up quickly.

Untitled #72 (Supernatural) at Denver Art Museum (Friday, $10) A big empty museum sounds like the perfect place to get spooked. It may not be empty tonight -- although you can pretend -- but there will be plenty of events to keep the hairs on the back of your neck alert. Listen to ghost stories, channel dead artists with the help of a medium or race to get your hands on some Voodoo doughnuts.

Boulder Mall Crawl at Pearl Street Mall (Friday, free) People we're pretty bummed we didn't feature the Zombie Crawl on 10 for $10 a couple weeks back, so here's a similar event, just a little more un-undead. Odell Halloween Party with the Switchyard Social Club at The BSide (Friday, free) For all you refined beer drinkers, here's a Halloween party for you. Odell Brewing drafts are pouring for only $4, and you get to hear the twangy stylings of the Switchyard Social Club. Hopefully they'll be channeling the ghost of Buck Owens. Dia de los Muertos at Pirate: Contemporary Art (Saturday, free) Hopefully you already have your Dia de los Muertos altars planned out, but if not come out tonight and get some ideas. Pinatas for the young and old to swing at, Aztec dancers and a candlelight procession will round out the night of remembrance and celebration.

Pumpkin Smash at Shelly/Quinn Baseball Fields (Saturday, free) Smashing pumpkins is a classic Halloween gag, but some people don't appreciate it. To avoid the handcuffs this year, head up the hill to Idaho Springs and go wild with your Louisville Slugger, catapult or just your boots and smash it up.

Jeff Wood Art Show at PosterScene (Saturday-Sunday, free) People in the jam band scene know Jeff Wood as one of the greatest poster designers in the game. Over the weekend come shake the hand of the man who has drawn up posters for Widespread Panic, Allman Brothers Band and The String Cheese Incident.

Free Yoga All Day at Kindness Yoga South Broadway (Sunday, free) Yoga is so hot right now. It's probably even hotter when it's free. If you drank too many blood sucker cocktails over the weekend, come sweat 'em out here. Namaste.
