What better way to start off a new month than with a photo of a seductively-clad lady? The Colorado Burlesque calendar will do just that with its 2012 incarnation, to be released Thursday night at Bender's at 8 p.m. The calendar features twelve of Colorado's dazzling burlesque stars in action, beautifully photographed by Colorado Burlesque's Alex Rimorin.

It will also be available Monday June 20 at 3 Kings, Thursday June 23 at Lannies Clocktower Cabaret, and Saturday June 25 at Zodiac in Colorado Springs.

Here's a sneak peak:

Miss January: Midnite Martini "The mile high flying tease!" Miss February: Peggy Tulane "Clocktower Clockettes!" Miss March: Kitty Crimson "Oooh La La Presents!" Miss April: Gezelle Za Belle "Peaks and Pasties!" Miss May: Orchid Mei "Clocktower Clockettes!" Miss June: Fannie Spankings "Colorado's sweetest peach!" Miss July: Honey Touche' "The sweetheart of burlesque!" Miss August: Lola Spitfire "Heir to the fire tassles!" Miss September: Chalita Bang Bang "The Mexican jumping bean!" Miss October: Ava L'amour "Peaks and Pasties!" Miss November: Cherry Pop Pop Poppins "Get those pasties poppin!" Miss December: Cora Vette "Burly Cute!"

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
