Adam Cayton Holland got his start in standup ten years ago, when he decided to try a few jokes at an open-mike night and wound up on stage at Comedy Works; he described his experiences in "Get Up, Stand Up," a July 2004 Westword cover story. Since then, Cayton-Holland has blown up big, and tonight he'll be on Comedy Central's @Midnight that airs at 10 p.m. in Denver.
Cayton-Holland, who grew up in Denver, was named one of the "25 Comics to Watch" by Esquire. He's been touring nationally as a headliner and been featured at such comedy festivals as Montreal Just for Laughs and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival. In May, he'll be joining L.A. comics Brody Stevens and Howard Kremer on Funny or Die's "Road 2 Oddball Tour."
And he'll be back at the Comedy Works in Larimer Square for a performance on Thursday, June 5 at 8.pm. Tickets are $12; go to comedy works.com.
