There's nothing cuter than baby pandas, which means that Pandas: The Journey Home, the new IMAX flick from National Geographic, is a slam-dunk for the Denver Museum of Nature & Science's Phipps IMAX 3-D Theater, where it debuted over the weekend for a run at least into October. The larger-than-life movie follows little captive-born panda Tao Tao and friends through wild-animal boot camp, where they are schooled for the day they'll be set free to fend for themselves.
Catch the scientific romp daily at the museum, 2001 Colorado Boulevard; also just opened are Island of Lemurs: Madagascar 3-D and D-Day Normandy: 1944 3-D, if you want to make a day of staring at the theater's three-and-a-half-story screen. For showtimes and tickets, $6 to $10 for the film only (museum packages are also available), visit dmns.org or call 303-370-6000.
