The series kicks off September 17 at 7 p.m. at the Denver Botanic Gardens with Digital Nature, a multimedia party that promises to dazzle with music and video and, of course, the DBGs beautiful landscapes. Tickets are $8 to $10; visit www.botanicgardens.org for information.
Also opening on September 17 is Bella Gaia, which features violinist Kenji Williams performing in the Denver Museum of Nature and Sciences Gates Planetarium, backlit by spectacular images of Earth from space. Other Bolero Colorado events include a tour of Xcel Energys Ponnequin Wind Farm and a screening of the documentary King Corn at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The series culminates on September 26 at the Newman Center with a dance performance featuring renowned choreographer Larry Keigwins new piece, also titled Bolero Colorado, as well as other Keigwin + Company works from its excellent repertoire.
