The show originated from our observation that Tracy, Danyl and Jimmy each have a number of action figures Transformers, G. I. Joes, that kind of thing and we thought it would be fun to show them, says Rex. But the exhibit isnt made up of a bunch of dolls; instead, therell be paintings and three-dimensional objects on the theme of these figures.
The exhibit opens tonight with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Pattern Shop, 3349 Blake Street. The show is sophisticated, but its also kid-friendly, says Rex, pointing out that on May 22, kids can bring their own figures to the studio to join in the festivities.
