Highlights of the Mile High Cinco de Mayo Event include live music from Alegres de la Sierra, Banda la Revuelta, Novillos Musical, Grupo Alacran, Grupo Kaoba, Musica de la Tricolor and others. The music is very authentic and very traditional same with the food, notes Hallisey. We have music on three stages all weekend.
There will also be a selection of Mexican food specialties and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including bottled margaritas from Mikes Hard Lemonade. From 1 to 3 p.m. today, Dora the Explorer will make a live appearance, and tomorrow from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m., moms can enjoy a Zumba Pachanga dance and fitness class. The biggest thing that makes us different from other celebrations is that we have the perfect setup, Hallisey adds. We have the tent, 25,000 square feet of shade and the parking, and you get all of that for $3. Its very reasonable, and its nice to be able to come up with the whole family. Theres lots to do for a very minimal cost.
The party runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and tomorrow; admission is $3 per person for adults and free for kids under twelve. Call 303-289-4656 or visit www.milehighmarketplace.com
