City at Night

Voix de la ville means "voice of the city" in French, and promoters Pamela Dore Alford and Jenifer Kuntz took that voice very seriously when they created tonight's Voix de la Ville: An Evening of Subculture Bliss extravaganza. "It was kind of a collaborative effort," explains Kuntz. "We called on all our friends."

Here's what it's all about: music, lots of it, performed by Sunshine Jones and Michael Sultan (both formerly of Dubtribe Sound System), Kraddy of the Glitch Mob, Sub Swara, Orange Peel Moses, Jantsen and more; live videography by VJ Videolicious, playing on balloons, screens and the ceiling; entertainment by Ukulele Loki's Gadabout Orchestra and the visually stunning Lucent Dossier Vaudeville Cirque ensemble; and raising funds for the Colorado-based Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy charity For Their Sake.

"Instead of just being strictly a DJ party, it'll be really interactive — sort of a collage of performances," notes Alford.

Tickets to Voix de la Ville are $31; exclusive VIP tickets (which are expected to sell out quickly) are $150 and include drinks, food and access to the VIP room. Get your VIP tickets at and general admission tickets at; the party starts at the Boulder Theater, 2034 14th Street, at 9 p.m., and costumes are strongly encouraged. Visit for information.
