City Limits

The newest installment in the tale of Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City 2, has hit the big screen, bringing back old flames and calling into question her commitment to Mr. Big. Of course you have to see what happens, along with twelve of your closest girlfriends! To that end, a couple of Denver venues are jumping on the Manolo Blahnik bandwagon with some sexy, city-riffic events.

Kona Grill, 3000 East First Avenue, is offering Sushi & the City, featuring specialty Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha sushi rolls and signature cocktails; there will also be a raffle benefiting Dress for Success, with a grand-prize trip for two to New York City complete with airfare, hotel accommodations and a pair of your very own Manolos. The promotion continue through June 6; for details, visit www.konagrill.com.

And tonight only, the Ellie Caulkins Opera House is hosting The Big Event, a fundraiser for Warren Village; start off with a viewing of the film at the Denver Pavilions theater at 6:30 p.m., then head to the Ellie for a live auction, coffee bar, appetizers, desserts, signature martinis and the unveiling of Mr. Big; tickets are $50. Call 303-320-5055 or visit www.warrenvillage.org.
