It's Springtime in the Rockies: Keep Skiing!

The season is winding down, but there's plenty of fun ahead.

This ski season has been one for the books, and while many resorts stayed open longer than anticipated, the final closings are coming. Look for big parties at Eldora and Winter Park this weekend; Copper Mountain and Vail are calling it quits, too. But Breckenridge and Mary Jane are planning to stay open into May, and Arapahoe Basin will be open well into June.

Here are the current closing dates:

April 20-21: Snowmass Closing Weekend. Elk Camp restaurant will host an end-of-season party on April 20; there will be a pond skim contest at the base. Find out more at aspensnowmass.com.
April 20-21: Winter Park Closing Weekend. The Spring Bash and Splash starts on April 20 with a Seatin' to the Oldies' workout and 1980s costume contest; April 21 will have an Easter Egg hunt for kids and the Spring Splash, in which skiers try to cross an icy pond. April 20-21: Copper Mountain Closes. On April 20, SlopeSoakers combines a rail-sliding contest with a pond skim. On April 21, the mountain promises the world's largest Easter egg hunt, followed by a Retro-Shred-a-Thon fundraiser. Find out more at coppercolorado.com.
April 20-21: Eldora Closing Weekend: Music by DJ Gangsterish and The Malai Llama on April 20, Nokian #GreenTireGiveaway scavenger hunt on April 21, as well as as the Great Eldora Easter Egg Hunt. More music by DJ Gangsterish and The Alcapones closes out the final day. Find out more here.
April 21: Aspen Mountain Closes. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Sundeck will host a DJ spinning '80s tunes. Find out more at aspensnowmass.com.
