Back in the days when Show and Tell was still an outdoor adventure blog called On the Edge, writer Ted Alvarez brought us an interesting post about how mountain lions in Colorado are increasingly moving through urban areas. And as proof that nothing on the interenets ever dies, more than a year later, reader Andrew leaves his own story of seeing a three mountain lions lounging on the road just north of the Colorado border.
May 7, 2011 I was driving along route 230 south west of Woods Landing at 1:30am. I came around a curve speeding like I usually do and there was 3 full size Mountian lions lying Down in the middle of the road. I slammed on my breaks and all three casually stood up and walked into the ditch. I was ecstatic, I've never seen anything like it! I grabbed my camera and sadly enough didn't have time to snap a pic as they walked into the night. I can't stop thinking about it, my girlfriend saw them as well once I woke her up! She's all annoyed of me talking about it lol it was awesome and I'll never forget it!
Good story, dude, and we can all learn a lesson from it: It's never too late for your two cents.
