Hello? Denver? Are You Still There? Q&A with Mayoral Candidate Kalyn Heffernan
Thursday, April 26, 8 p.m.
Mutiny Information Cafe

Bree Davies, a local activist, DIY booster, music-scene queen and longtime Westword scribe, has a new podcast dedicated to preserving the character of her native city called Hello? Denver? Are You Still There? As readers might ascertain from the title, Davies and her esteemed guests turn a critical eye on the Mile High, examining the forces reshaping the city in ways that its residents don't appreciate and discussing ways to reclaim their home. For the sixth episode, Davies welcomes Wheelchair Sports Camp frontwoman, activist and recently declared 2019 Denver mayoral candidate Kalyn Heffernan for an impassioned and profanity-laced discussion about how she'd like to address the ways in which Denver is failing some of its most vulnerable residents. Find out more on Mutiny Information Cafe's Facebook events page.

Grand Opening Group Exhibition
Friday, April 27, 7 to 10 p.m.
Mirus Gallery Denver
After spending five years at the forefront of San Francisco's art scene, Mirus Gallery co-founder and curator Paul Hemmings is expanding into a new location in the heart of Denver's Golden Triangle. Seeking work that provokes consciousness while displaying technical skill, Mirus Gallery achieves the â€śastonishing, extraordinary, and strange" quality that its name promises, Hemmings says. Celebrate the grand opening of a new incubator for local creatives at an exhibition featuring gallery favorites such as Augustine Kofie, Nychos, Mars1 and many more.
