The glitter hasn’t been swept up yet from Monday’s grand finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race — spoiler alert, Bob the Drag Queen took the crown, leaving Kim Chi and Naomi Smalls in her rearview — but today tickets go on sale for "Season 8: The Queens," a touring revue starring fan faves of this past season, which lands at the Paramount Theatre at 8 p.m. Friday, July 8.
The non-RuPaul-sanctioned event (Murray and Peter Presents are leading this tour) will reunite the Top Three — Bob, Kim and Naomi — with competition sisters Thorgy Thor and Chi Chi DeVayne, and all of this show business will be hosted by season seven “shoulda won” Katya. This tour will be a boomerang return for Bob, who headlines Tracks Drag Nation on June 17; Thorgy and Kim recently hit Denver the rainbow floorboards of Denver's popular gay clubs, too.
This tour stop will give the girls an opportunity to showcase talents beyond lip syncing: standup comedy for Bob, violin for Thorgy, slaying makeup and fashion for Kim, modeling up a storm for Naomi, and whatever other tricks these ladies have up their sleeves that we may not have seen on TV.
Tickets for the show at the Paramount Theatre, 1621 Glenarm Place, go on sale at 10 a.m. today at paramountdenver.com. Ticket prices are TBD at the moment, but general admission and VIP options will be available.
