Who's got what it takes to be the Queen of Aces? Tonight at Hamburger Mary's Club M, well-tressed, primed and primped contenders will duke it out, pageant-style, for the matriarchal title in this drag show of epic proportions.

This third edition of Queen of Aces is a fundraiser for the Colorado Gay Volleyball Association, and will be hosted by its first-ever pageant winner: 2009's queen, Daniella DeCoteau.

"It's based off of the pageant tradition we all know and love," says Luke List, who performs as Zoe O. in tonight's showdown. Along those lines, the exhibition will include classic pageant elements like talent and final-question portions, but there will be a twist on the traditional swimsuit competition. At Queen of Aces, it's all about creative volleyball wear.

Seats for tonight's event are $10 and first come, first served; doors to Hamburger Mary's, 709 East 17th Street, open at 7 p.m., and the pageant starts at 8. Last year's Queen of Aces sold out quickly, so early arrival is recommended for the 21+ event.
