The tour is an initiative of Denver’s Green Route, which was created by Green Spaces Colorado in conjunction with the global Green Map System, a platform that gives communities the ability to design green maps for their cities. “We really want to bring attention to the sustainable restaurant scene here in Denver by bringing new and familiar foodies to restaurants focused on lowering their environmental impact and sourcing local ingredients,” explains Erin Davey, director of Green Spaces Colorado.
The seven April restaurant tours are free, but you need to download a tour pass from www.greenroutedenver.com. Participating restaurants include Root Down, Olivea, Duo, SAME Cafe, WaterCourse Foods and Z Cuisine. For more information, call 303-720-6850.
