With the arrival of spring, fashion events are blooming all over town. You can catch shows by major designers and Colorado State University students; the month will end with the big Denver Fashion Weekend. Here are ten stylish shindigs over the next ten days.

Goldyn

6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 23
Melrose and Madison
1500 South Pearl Street
Denver Style Magazine is hosting this free event where bloggers, photographers, boutique owners and Denver's stylish socialites can mix and mingle as they enjoy sips and snacks. Rescue Runway Fashion Showcase and Silent Auction
6 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 24
McNichols Building

The Denver Animal Shelter is partnering with fashion students from the Art Institute of Colorado for this stylish and philanthropic event. Animals will model fashion designs from students; a dozen of the dogs/models will be available for adoption. Local fashion designer and stylist Lil' Fresh Sam is unveiling her new collection, Robes of Heroes, under her brand Infatu'. The designs are inspired by a dreaded diagnosis that flips your world upside down: Robes of Heroes includes a series of conceptual jackets, each one representing a different entity idolized in American culture, juxtaposed against actual heroics. Other designers and makeup artists displaying work at this show, hosted by DGaray magazine, include Maggie Burns, Cha Cha Romero, Vanity Dollz, LoveHertz Couture, Sierra Wonderlynd, Concierge of Clothing and Andreas T. Denver Fashion Weekend Day One

303 magazine is presenting another Denver Fashion Weekend, which runs through April 2; 23 fashion designers and boutiques and 21 salons are participating. On March 30, local and national fashion will be the focus, and headlining designers and boutiques include Femme Fatale Intimates, Gabriela Martinez, Lady Jane, Darlene Ritz, The Secret Boutique by Jade Locke, Duane Topping, Margaret Sanzo, Jeremy Willard, Royal Outerwear, Steve Sells, Night by Charlie Price and  21 Reasons Why by Madeline Stuart. Ascent Fashion Show at Colorado State University
5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, March 31
Lincoln Center Performance Hall
417 West Magnolia, Fort Collins
This fashion show is planned and produced by Colorado State University as a real-world learning experience for graduating apparel-design students in the Department of Design and Merchandising. They'll show their collections in a multi-sensory stage production with models, choreography and lighting effects and music.
