When a group of experienced clothing and jewelry designers gets together for a collaborative showing, you know it’s an event that can’t be missed. This is the case with clothing designer Carol Mier and jewelry designers Leyna Bencomo, Holly Fillingham, and Marc McCall. This fashionable group is displaying pieces of their respective collections for public viewing and admiration at June’s First Friday Art Walk, happening tomorrow night on Santa Fe Drive.
Mier, who has been in fashion for 25 years and was named the Colorado Designer of the Year by the World Modeling Association, will be displaying “festive summer wear.” Bencomo will show her necklace designs. Fillingham has a collection of jewelry that's been touted as both “creative” and “unusual," and McCall specializes in uniquely-designed earrings. Denverites who want to stay stylish through the hot summer months should check out this gallery.
The collections will be displayed at Mier’s gallery, Carol Mier Fashion at 745 Santa Fe Drive, from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight and will stay up through June 30. For more information call 303-446-0117.
