Put on your best mask and cape and head out to do great good tonight at BASH!, the Young Philanthropists Foundation's biggest fundraising event of the year. The group's mission is to give kids the power to change the world via volunteering and philanthropy. What better way to do that than by dressing up as superheroes, the do-gooders that kids of all ages love best?

"We'll be handing out superhero kits to all our youngest guests that include capes and masks and secret identity cards," says program coordinator Amber Gerding. "We have a cape-testing photo booth and really fun activities for kids who attend."

Those activities include a silent auction of one-of-a-kind piggy banks made by a local artist, visits from some familiar superheroes, including Batman, and handing out a Golden Heart to one participating school. Oh, and there will be cocktails for the older heroes in attendance. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. at RedLine, 2350 Arapahoe Street. Attire is business-casual; adult capes will be available, and full costumes are encouraged. Tickets are $40 for adults, $20 for kids and can be purchased at www.ypfoundation.org. For more information, visit the website or call 720-221-9218.
