When Mother Nature dumped snow on Denver last Friday, more than a few galleries and businesses decided to shut their doors, first Friday or no. A blizzard of confusion resulted, as many show openings and other events were postponed to later dates -- many of them this weekend.

Here are some of the snowed-out events that are now on for today and tomorrow:

Tigalo Block Party: Grand Opening Edition: The much-awaited party celebrating Tigalo -- the new hipster retail block comprising Fancy Tiger Crafts, Fancy Tiger Clothing and the Buffalo Exchange -- will finally make the marriage official with a blowout, three-store party-down from 7 to 10 p.m. tonight. And the even newer kid on the block, Sewn, which opened recently in the old Fancy Tiger Clothing site, will also be open until 9 p.m. Make a night of it! Get info at the Fancy Tiger website www.fancytiger.com.

Of God and Monsters: Nearby, 'Indy Ink is finally getting its chance to make its mark with a solo show of graphic images in layered vellum by Adam Reker. The reception is from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. tonight and the show continues through March 10. For details, call 720-937-9722.

Nothing Teaches Needs: An exhibition of works by Ravi Zupa and Lindsay St. Antoine, will hang through February 27 at Black Book Gallery on Santa Fe Drive. The rescheduled party for the show is Saturday, February 11, beginning at 6 p.m. Call 303-941-2458.

Icebreaker3: The third annual juried group show featuring esteemed regional artists at Ice Cube Gallery also opens Saturday with a reception from 5 to 9 p.m. Call 303-292-1882. Freshly Squeezed: Art buddies Matt Doubek and Sam Mobley have fun with a tongue-in-cheek "pulp fiction art" theme, and will be serving up bacon and pancakes at tonight's opening from 6 to 10 p.m. at Pirate Contemporary Art. Call 303-458-6058.

The Other Side Arts on Platte Street will roll out The Potato Show tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. The tasty exhibit of potato-inspired artwork is sided by a fundraiser to support Global Orphan Prevention's goal of building a primary school in Nepal. Call 303-561-3000.

These are but a few of the rescheduled events spread through the rest of February. If you know of any others, share the information in the comments section below.
