"The poster show came about from the art community wanting to work with Feed Denver," says Megafauna owner John McCaskill. McCaskill's shop has developed an integral relationship with local artists -- Jack Shure, 2Kool's Bimmer Torres and the creators behind Like-Minded Productions, to name a few -- all of whom will present work for sale at tonight's gathering.
The show's purpose is twofold: While raising money for the nonprofit through the poster sales, the night also acts as an informational springboard for Feed Denver's big event, In-Power, coming up on March 24 through 31. In-Power is a week-long gardening symposium which will feature workshops and lectures by urban agriculture expert Will Allen and food justice advocate Gary Nabhan.
The poster show runs tonight from 7 to 10 p.m. at Hinterland, 3254 Walnut Street. For more information, visit www.feeddenver.com or call 303-513-7548.
