A Boy Falling Out of the Sky Edge Gallery January 30 through February 15 Opening reception: 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, January 30
More than a multimedia show, David D'Agostino's collaborative installation A Boy Falling Out of the Sky is billed as an "intermedia carnival" and, as such, it's meant to be a wild jumble of paintings and sculpture and poetry and music and ideas inspired by the happenings of the mid-century Fluxus movement. A cast of local artists, including Cop Circles soloist Luke Leavitt, who contributes an original song, as well as members of the Atlanta Poets Group, helps bring the whole beautiful mess to fruition. Take advantage of the fun to check out Edge's new makeover; Marie Weimer's Disequilibrium also premieres tonight.
