Last holiday season, Stranded Jewelry proprietor Amelia Deleon brought her annual holiday trunk show out of the living room and into Illiterate Gallery. The move was so successful that this year she decided the more the merrier -- and so the jewelry designer is adding the work of other local artisans to the mini-bazaar. "We had such a good turnout at last year's show, I wanted to offer customers more than just my jewelry," Deleon says of the addition of Counter Couture, MontanaGirl and billie & honey accessories and apparel to the one-day event. Deleon is also debuting her own line of more inexpensive pieces, along with some intricately detailed accouterments that she coins "Arabesque-meets-West."

Deleon's usual retro re-strings and one-of-a-kind designs will also be available, along with new work inspired by the artist's bi-coastal trips over the summer. Deleon says she wanted to keep the price point reasonable for potential gift buyers, so earrings, necklaces, brooches, bracelets and the like will run from $25 to $100.

The Stranded Jewelry Trunk Show runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Illiterate, 82 South Broadway. For more information, call 720-984-6007 or go to www.strandedjewelry.com.
