Get in the Game, Player

Attention, Spartans: Polish your armor, clean your battle rifle and prepare to report to duty. Your skills are needed today at five locations around town for a free Halo 3 Tournament, and nearly $4,500 is at stake.

Yes, your Halo 3 skills may be a little rusty since you moved on to ODST or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Tough. Halo 3 still regularly charts in the top five Xbox Live games each week, so suck it up and start practicing those melee kills and plasma-grenade sticks again. You're going to need to be sharp, since up to 128 players will compete at each location for a first prize of $500. Second and third place will also take home some cash — $250 and $100, respectively. The rest can enjoy free pizza, free energy drinks from Go Fast, and the chance to win some door prizes from GameStop.

It all goes down from 1 to 4 p.m. today at five locations across the metro area. The tournament is free, and you must be between 18 and 34 to play. For a list of locations and to register, visit www.mybank2go.com, or call 303-422-6221 for more info.
