Two Hands Paperie, a Boulder-based retailer that specializes in paper wares, was the perfect fit for Beyond Words: Contemporary Book Art, the show at Foothills Art Center through March 22. "This is our first time doing a pop-up shop," explains Ro Medina, outreach director at Foothills Art Center. "It seemed like a great way to collaborate with Two Hands Paperie, and many of the wares go along with our handmade book workshop that's coming up in March. They have lots of little paper items to sell, gifts and also book-making materials."
"They brought in their inlaid papers and items from their store," Medina continues. "People love it, they absolutely love it. Everyone who comes in has taken a look at it."
The center is hoping to add similar shops for upcoming exhibits featuring glasswork and Ansel Adams photography, she adds. Find more information here.
