Information is power, especially when navigating the intricacies of the law. Whether you're stuck in a custody case, worried about a DUI or getting ready to sign a new lease, a little education can help. To that end, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and Colorado Free University present People's Law School, a series of seminars taught by attorneys.

The first in the series is "Constitutional Law: An Overview of the Legal System & Your Rights." "Of any of the six seminars, this one is a little more broad-reaching in terms of the information a participant might take away from it," says the CTLA's Sara Odendahl. "I think in this day and age, it's important we all know our rights." Other seminars will cover employment law, rights of landlords and tenants, family law, traffic law and DUIs, and rights of the injured. Registration fees are $29-$38 per class or $150-$190 for the series; classes begin at 7 p.m. tonight at the CFU Lowry campus, 7654 East First Place. Visit www.freeu.com.
