Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.
For most men, the depressing realization that they are no longer cool comes somewhere around the late '30s -- and while many just give up, there must always be those few brave men of oblivious overconfidence who ignore that fact, who stare boldly into the face of cruel father time and say, you may have taken the trends that once defined me, but I will hold onto them until they are cool again or I die, whichever comes first! Today, because it is they alone who keep the fan-club of REO Speedwagon alive -- and also because it's Wednesday, the day we bring you the best of our weird internets in a compendium of images loosely related to whatever topic we happen to come up with -- we honor those stout-hearted men: Men who still got it.
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
