Forget stamp collecting: Amateur film scholarship is where it's at these days. Get in on the action today with DPL's Fresh City Life Cinema Club screening of Hanging Up, starting at 2 p.m. at the Central Library, 10 West 14th Avenue Parkway. To aid in your studies, the presentation includes a guide with credits, trivia and additional resources.

In the film, three sisters — Diane Keaton, Meg Ryan and Lisa Kudrow — take care of their invalid father as he approaches death. Nora Ephron shows up, too. There are some life lessons and some jokes. Hanging Up was not well-loved by critics, but it did win a Teen Choice Award — Kudrow, for "Choice Hissy Fit" — in 2000. And it's notable for being the last film in which Walter Matthau appeared before his death.
