Ink It In

Witness how well the ability to put beautiful art on skin translates to more traditional media as Th’ink Tank presents a joint show for painters Jenny Lee and Sandi Calistro, both of whom work as tattoo artists. Although both pull from pop art and surrealism and feature women and the female form as favorite subjects, each displays a unique and visually arresting style. “Their styles are similar, but they’re not,” says Th’ink Tank owner Heather Angeli. “They both have their distinct styles. Their women figure drawings and figures of women are very distinct for each of them.”

See for yourself at Th’ink Tank, 172 South Broadway, through November 4 — and if you’re reading ahead, there’s an opening reception Friday, October 3, from 8 to 10 p.m., as part of Broadway’s First Friday push. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12 to 8 p.m. For more information, call 720-932-0124 or visit
