It’s Hip to Be Square

If you like canopies of bright-white lights, big-city restaurants and the prospect of open-air feasting under a galaxy of stars, then you’ll love An Affair on the Square, which takes place tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. between 14th and 15th streets on Larimer Square. The splashy, flashy culinary block party, a benefit for the Colorado Symphony, trumpets the temptations of eight Larimer Square restaurants — Bistro Vendôme, Capital Grille, Corridor 44, Cru, Lime, Osteria Marco, Rioja and TAG — all of which will extend their patios off the sidewalk and onto the street, where diners can nosh from prix fixe menus ranging from $58 to $97 per person.

“An Affair on the Square is a celebration of the culinary community on Larimer Square, and it’s about bringing together our collection of restaurants and talented chefs for one night to create an event truly unique to downtown Denver,” says Jeff Hermanson, CEO for Larimer Associates. Tickets are $35 and include two complimentary cocktails and live music from members of the Colorado Symphony.
