Anthony Jeselnik has made a career out of playing the asshole – and over the years, his comedy has only gotten darker. "I've spent the past two years looking for my ex-girlfriend's killer," Jeselnik says on his current album, Caligula. "But no one'll do it."

In addition to his biting standup performances and work on Comedy Central roasts, Jeselnik now has a new medium for his black humor: The Jeselnik Offensive. The late-night talk show premiered in February on Comedy Central, and puts Jeselnik's jerk persona out there in full force. Whether he's poking fun at the death of a shark-attack victim or cracking jokes about a chef who killed and cooked his wife, the comedian is always pushing his audience's comfort zones in new and hilarious ways.

And he’s sure to make folks laugh uncomfortably tonight at Gates Concert Hall in the Newman Center for the Performing Arts, 2344 East Iliff Avenue. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.; tickets, $22.50, are available at the Newman Center box office, online at newmantix.com, or over the phone at 303-871-7720.
Sat., April 27, 7:30 & 10 p.m., 2013
