Ladies' Days

If you've ever been to a Crave Party — or even if you haven't — you'll love how the Crave folks have teamed up with KB Homes this holiday season to host a series of Crave/KB Homes Holiday Marts, all housed in model homes at KB developments throughout the metro area. The friendly collaboration will result in several afternoons of Crave-style boutique shopping for trendy handbags and jewelry, with additional merchandise offered by KB community members — and you can also be a real-estate lookie-loo on the sly. It's the complete suburban matron experience, girls, especially when you consider that today's scheduled mart stops include Martha Stewart Stapleton, 8942 East 34th Avenue, where the trinkets will lie in state at the very heart of architectural graciousness.

Besides, outside of Crave-sponsored home spa parties, it's the only major Crave event left this year, so go kneel at the altar of Martha — or, if you can't stomach that, discover Prairie Meadows, 8967 Apache Plume Drive, in Parker, today from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free; bring a used cell phone to donate to HomeAid Colorado. For information, directions and details about additional marts, visit www.cravepartydenver.com.

KEEP WESTWORD FREE... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
Susan Froyd started writing for Westword as the "Thrills" editor in 1992 and never quite left the fold. These days she still freelances for the paper in addition to walking her dogs, enjoying cheap ethnic food and reading voraciously. Sometimes she writes poetry.
