Drag Nation: Apocalypse, a holiday spin on Tracks Nightclub's Friday tradition, goes off with an even bigger bang tonight as the raucous band of queens welcomes Ru Paul's Drag Race contestant Alexis Mateo to the stage. But the almost-New Year's Eve bash has another larger-than-life reason to celebrate: Nina Flowers is back.

The evening marks the return of Flowers -- longtime audience favorite and head mistress of the club's drag scene -- who will not only walk the runway, but also spend some time behind the decks as DJ. "When Nina deejays, she brings out the best in us with her own remixes," says Briceson Ducharme, aka fellow crowd-pleaser Ginger Sexton. Ducharme also says that Drag Nation will continue to up the performance ante, as the girls bring a nationally renowned show that is much more than "your run-of-the-mill sappy Cher love-song routine." Doors open at 9 p.m. at Tracks, 3500 Walnut Street, and tickets are $10 to $12. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 303-863-7326 or visit www.tracksdenver.com.
