The challenge is the brainchild of Shannon Wilson, who recently auditioned to appear on Grill It!, Bobby Flay’s popular Food Network series, and made it to the final round before going up in flames. “I’m a huge chef by hobby, and trying out for Flay’s show inspired me to put a grilling competition together here,” explains Wilson, who’s also behind grubology.com, a Denver food blog. “The whole point of this is to have a spirited competition that’s fun and gets everyone together to cook and eat.”
