But Clips of Faith, now in its third year, is a community picnic as much as a film screening, with participants encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and plenty of food to eat and share. New Belgium has the beer covered, however, and beer lovers can drink in good conscience, as proceeds from tastings benefit Community Cycles, a Boulder nonprofit that supports safe, healthy cycling.
“Our recipe is beer, films, great local food, local parks and amazing local organizations,” says New Belgium’s Christie Catania. “We bring the party, but they really breathe the local life into the events, bind community and bring people out of their homes.”
The party starts at 8 p.m. on Boulder’s 29th Street Mall, 29th Street and Canyon Boulevard. Visit www.clipsoffaith.com for more information.
