Mommy Dearest

Improv is an art form. It takes skills to garner tidbits of information from audience members and weave them into a narrative that actually makes sense — and that's actually funny — in spontaneous sketches and games. The folks at Bovine Metropolis Theater do improv very well — so well, in fact, that they're are graduating their 34th class. You can see the class in action at their show, Your Mom, where they'll engage in games, comedic plays and both dramatic and long-form improvisations (which aren't always funny but are just as challenging as the humorous versions).

Your Mom starts tonight at 7:30 p.m. and runs again on December 5. Bring $8 to get in the door, along with your thinking cap, which you'll need to help the improvisers get their show on the road. Bovine is at 1527 Champa Street; for information, call 303-758-4722 or visit
Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Nov. 28. Continues through Dec. 5, 2007
