A-Basin plans to replace its base-to-mid-mountain lift with a detachable quad this summer after the mountain's projected June 6 closing. The idea to replace the Exhibition fixed grip triple chair has been five years in the making, and one of the last things left to do is give it a name. The people at A-Basin are hoping the mountain's skiers and riders can help with that. Arapahoe Basin officials are taking suggestions for the name of the new lift and giving a $300 Arapahoe Sports gift certificate to the person who comes up with the winning selection. Send your suggestions to alanh@a-basin.net.

The new lift will have a 2000 people-per-hour capacity and a three-minute ride time--about half the time it takes to get to mid-mountain on the Exhibition lift.
